Back from the wedding this weekend. Very tired and my head hurts from a combination of some sinus pain and over doing it with drink....one should not drink more to combat a sinus headache. The headache seems to win.
The wedding was nice. The ceremony, at the place where the reception was held, last maybe 5 minutes tops and was held outside.

I'd try just painting the walls a different color: something unusual but not freaky so you can live with it for a while. I managed to talk my landlord into letting me paint my front/living room a burnt orange color, and it really warms up the whole place and brings out the natural woodwork trim nicely. The landlord calls it "menstruation brown" (because he is such a charming and feministic fellow) but I retorted that since he painted my bathroom maxi-pad blue, we are even.
I'm back. Try not to lose control with your glee and excitement.
