When, In Disgrace With Fortune and Men's Eyes
by William Shakespeare (1564-1616)
When, in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featur'd like him, like him with friends possess'd,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
*sigh*
Thanks for everyone of you out there who cares. Not even if you care for me....just...if you care. Caring is a hard and sometimes overlooked thing in our world. Often beaten out of us or treated as a disease by our parents or those in power above us until we in turn do the same to those below us.
I'm doing okay overall. My walls get thicker every day and my heart grows colder. I had forgotten the problems I would face but I'm handling them well. I had also forgotten the safety of these walls....the comfort of stone.
It's a sad and sorry thing...but only to those outside. Inside a tiny broken thing rages against the prison of apathy that wears away at his hands of care and breaks his hold on love.
But the walls continue to grow....with each brick and stone I become what I need to be.
I can feign compassion, caring, joy and happiness enough for those around me leaving me to check my shell and make sure no cracks have formed.
*sigh*
I hope you all are well. The people on this site amaze me each and every day, and almost always in a positive way.
If I can ever do anything to help any of you please let me know...I am always willing to do my best to help.
I am now off to drink until dinner and then drink some more.
Take care all.

while any sort of encouragement i would try to offer here would sound a bit contrived after your literary entry, i do sincerely hope you are well and finding peace a little at a time.
