and in other older news...
My trip around the world is so complicated only Albert Einstein is able to provide the formula.
...my planned itinery to the following:-
from London, fly to THAILAND
from where I take 8-12 weeks to travel overland (by train/bus), visiting Cambodia, Vietnam and HK on the way to BEIJING
from where I fly to Tokoyo/Kyoto(?) in JAPAN where I spend 2-4 weeks
from where I fly to AUSTRALIA, where I spent 4-6 weeks before
flying to NEW ZEALAND for another 2-4 weeks
From where I fly to CHILE.
From Chile (here's the first contentious bit) travel North through, CHILE, BOLIVIA and PERU to ECUADOR (by train? and possibly one flight) taking up to 6 weeks overall
from where I fly to COSTA RICA, from where I travel overland over 3 weeks, (second contentious bit) - (by bus/train?)
to MEXICO where I spend 2-3 weeks before flying home to
LONDON
(I may add an extra stopover in the USA (for up to a month) after Mexico.)
Leaving in November so plenty of time to plan.

I live near Southport, so it will actually take me two days at a gallop to reach the water but I'm sure it'll be worth it when I get there.
