I am... therefore I talk shit
I am interested in learning about and talking human culture. This mostly manifests itself in literature, film and music, although I am also curious about history, theatre and art.
The natural world means a lot to me and I enjoy travelling as a means to experience new and beautiful environments. I used to work at a bird observatory and am still partialy interested in watching wildlife when I get the chance (which isn't often being that I live in London), although not to any insane twitcher level!
I have interest and curiosity, (as most people do to some extent), in philosophy and the meaning and creation of life.
I am not religious and do not believe in the type of God as is portrayed in the Bible and other doctrines. I am undecided on the existence of God but will never join a church group of any kind. I believe that the answers to life are within the individual and not in the teachings of strangers.
Thinking for one's self is so important in this life.
I write. At the moment I am writing a Dystopian story about a city and it's odd religion and isolated culture. I am finding that doing this is helping me to explore and portray my own socio-political(?) views, whilst at the same time using this microcosm as a way to interact with something that I can't articulate. I intend to develop this world further into a screenplay, maybe a novella and possibly a stage play.
Politics: I don't support the war in Iraq though I do sympathise with the servicemen who suffer as a result of their deployment. I cringe at the idea of George W. Bush being elected and his policies disgust me. Blair can fuk off as well!
Me: I am 35 although I often get mistaken for anything from 21 to 29! My youthful looks are a handy curse.
My hair is shoulder length at it's longest, my clothes are casual to smart.
I am finanically independent and own my own property. (geez. What a sad world where I feel I have to detail this info.! heh)
It would be nice to find a girl aged 24-34 who likes a guy with a quirky SOH.
I am especially interested in the artistic & intellectual "type" but that's not crucial as good people are found amongst all "types."
- I'm not really that intellectual myself (well, I don't articulate it anyway)
I like the way the female brain works - please supply me some cerebalism! (made up word?)
