I'm nervous about going to Seattle next week, but I figure that it's better to do things when you're feeling really shit. If they don't work out, then you don't have very far to fall. Misery=invincibility! Yeah, wouldn't that be the best superhero ever?
"Your bullets are nothing compared to the cosmic torment that penetrates my skin and snakes its cruel veins into the very core of my soul. Not that I expect you to care about things like that."
One thing I've been wondering about is why all the good movies and cartoons about ancient history belongs to other countries. Samurai and knights of the round table and pirates and ninjas and all of that. Native Americans are cool too, goddamnit, and they deserve their own epic action flick. Sans Kevin Costner too. I'm serious, SANS KEVIN COSTNER. And it better not be thoroughly non-fictional. The real past, from what I gather, is largely made up of a bunch of sick poor peopple who got eaten by bears. In the fake past (the kind worthy of entertaining us), however, the people of the past can do magic and maybe the bears could talk too. Maybe I need to watch Pocahontas just to settle my grits.

Nope, it's on August 19th. You should come and watch my eternal struggle between my social anxiety and my desire to be social, manifested in my squirms of discomfort as people I don't know well enough hug me.
