So I'm trying out for a part in a theatre group, even though I have no experience. The only reason I'm even considering it is because a friend of mine, who's a theatre person, thinks I can. I once helped someone scare away a pseudo-stalker by pretending that the person he was calling had committed suicide days before and I was the grieving boyfriend who had taken up the task of calling all the people in her phone book to tell them the terrible news. I never found out if it worked, but my friend was there and apparently she thought I was convincing.

Anyway, it'll be nice to have something to do with my time since I don't have a buzzing social life to occupy myself with, but I'll try not to be disappointed if I don't get in. I have to pick out a monologue first though, and that's tough.

If anyone who reads this happens to have any suggestions, drop a line. I'd prefer something short and not too challenging.
