Yo Joe!
Thus, it begins of the new movie: GIJoe: Rise of Cobra.
Went to watch it at the midnight showing.
I had a blast. It is not a great movie but it has it's moments.
Lots of eye candy with the awesome CG and FX stuff.
I felt like a kid again. When I was 5 or 6, I had the original 12" action dolls, right along with my big foot and the six-million dollar man doll. The fung-fu grip.
Then they disappeared off the market.
In the early 80s they made a come back first with new action figures 3 1/2" dolls then the comic and finally the cartoon.
Along with Star Wars, Star Trek, Sgt. Rock, Spider-Man, Bat-Man, and the A-Team, GI Joe has been a big part of my childhood and growing up. Later the James Bond stuff would fill up where the others left off.
I loved the movie for it's face value and the great memories that were recalled.
