Yesterday was Veteran's Day.
I was in my apartment, it was very quiet. My dog, a british bulldog was his mellow self.
I had attended classes, everything seems so sweet and mellow.
Sitting in my favorite leather chair, I was stoking my pipe with some great tobacco.
In my hand was a sifter of some nice brandy. I had the fire stove was giving-off great warmth to cut
the autumn chill from outside. The sides of the wood buring stove was cherry-red from the stoking fire inside.
My mind drifted into those many memories when I had served in the US Army.
Remembering the first day that I reported for duty.
The training, the places, the people, and so many other moments.
It really felt great to have served and during the time that I did.
To all of my fellow brother and sisters in-arms. Thank you
To those who did not make it back, rest-in-peace and you are not forgotten.
God Bless America
