Respect and Honor to everyone! Today, is a day filled with much to be inspired with. Even though I have been battling what seems to be the stomach flu.
Today, was a lovely early spring day here in California. It was sunny and bit hazy. Warm with a soft breeze coming off the Monterey Bay.
I washed my car and vacumed inside, organized my things. I then took a nice leasure strool at the Del Monte Shopping Center which is an outdoor plaza.
Then I once again went to see 300.
This movie rekindles the fires of old inside me. Remembering those days when I was a soldier and wore the uniform with such pride. Nobody dared to say any kind of remark or they would pay dearly.
For all the Sergeants in the Military (NCO), the benchmark of one's service is Duty, Honor, Country, and Justice.
We learn about respect, diginity, and selflessness. This movie reminded me of all of those things.
In Junior High our mascot was the Spartan. In High School, our mascot was the Trojan. Each greek warrior represented so much to me which would later inspire many events during my decade in the US Army.
The Romans had their Legions.
We Americans have our Armed Forces each filled with ranks of men and women who CHOOSE to serve to those time honored ideals. Lets not forget them.
Regardless of your politics. Rather you agree on this war or not. Rather you would rather protest the war do not harm or disrespect the Men and Women who are in uniform. The people in Washington make the laws and send our people to do their fighting. It is not their fault. Embrace them and Honor them.
For those who are keep track of my novel that I have decided to write. Well, chapters 1-3 are completed
The rough draft calls for estimated 42 chapters about 325 pages or so.
Till next time
