Today I did something which I really don't like to do....
... I went to the hairdresser.
Honestly, I really, really don't like it. I am someone who is very easily bored, so sitting around while my hair is getting cut is a major pain in the ass. I once tried to let my hair grow but I stopped this experiment after about three months because I looked like a freak mixture between a bum an a pimp. I've thought about shaving it all off but I'm not really willing to try. I'm afraid I'd look like Gollum's german brother.
My haidresser is a very nice turkish woman who is actually the sister-in-law of my sister. Usually her shop is bustling with life and noise, the turkish people really like company. So getting my hair cut is always somewhat of a change of culture. I probably should mention that I don't speak Turkish at all so I don't understand one word of the various conversations taking place in the shop. My hairdresser speaks German of course but she knows me and I don't even have to say what I want. I sit down and she starts to work. Due to the noise in the shop smalltalk is not really an option (Turkish people always speak very loud, I have now Idea why). Usually I doze off when I'm there. You wouldn't think this is possible with all the noise going on but somehow I almost always have to fight the urge to sleep when I get my hair done.
So you probably can imagine how surprised I was to find her shop almost empty today. I went there really early and there was only one customer beside me. We talked, she cut my hair I went home, very easy, just the way I like it.
Nevertheless I still think it's a waste of time. But having a fresh haircut sure is nice...

I hate getting hair cuts too, I look stupid with that plastic wrap around thing!
