I promised a huge update for all those who stay tuned so...
HERE IT IS!
My House:
Things are going wonderfully well in my rented house in the Philly suburbs. I save lots of cash on laundry/utilities and pay zero city wage tax living out here. It's fucking excellent.
I loved living downtown but I'm tired of my van getting broken into or vandalized. I'm tired of crackheads stealing bags of dirt from my attempt at urban gardening. I'm tired of crackheads trying to sell me back my own dirt. I'm tired of people getting shot in front of my house as I'm helping a new roommate move in. I'm tired of slumlords refusing to pay the water bill yet not allowing me to put it in my name. I'm tired of my water getting shut off. I'm tired of buying special (and illegal) tools to turn on my own water service. I'm tired of pregnant women eating the catfood off of my front porch.
I'm just tired.
Here's how the new place is coming along:
We'll be hanging artwork and adding furniture over the coming weeks! We're supposed to have a 3rd person in here by January 1st but I'm thinking we may just keep it to the two of us. If you're interested, drop me a line! Who knows, maybe a 3rd is a good idea!
My Work:
I've been working a TON of live shows, directing quite a few tv and radio commercials and doing plenty of voice over work. I work constantly. Unfortunately I'm not making anywhere near what I should so I'm formulating a palatable yet substantial rate increase for all of my clients. It's time.
Anyway, that's the boring freelance stuff... Here are a few pics from my last month or so in live music (much more interesting than freelance client bullshit)
Mountain, Rick Derringer, Edgar & Johnny Winter:
Steve Vai:
Joe Jackson:
Chef Robert Irvine Live:
Wynonna:
The Fab Faux:
Medeski, Martin & Wood:
ZZ TOP!
Los Lonely Boys:
Well folks, that's it for now... so much more to tell you but I think this blog has reached a sufficient length.
Love you!
