Relatively Happy Positive Blog Post Day!
What have I been up to? Work, and lots of it... This summer the live music business has officially returned! Tour buses are on the road, lights are in the air and amps are turned up all the way to 11...
-check out that ridiculous stage we had to build for Emerson and Lake... It's a replica of Keith Emerson's dungeon-like recording studio. I think he lives in a castle...
-Keith Emerson's keyboard rig. Lots of history here, even the keyboard stands are vintage!
-close up of the Moog. This thing is intense... it uses the magic and wonderment of science to make sounds. Even Keith Emerson had trouble taming this beast. No wonder we haven't mastered time travel yet...
-another monstrosity. This is Pat Metheney's "Orchestron". It's a massive jumble of real instruments with electronic and pneumatic triggers mounted all over the place... then wired to a massive brain unit that is then controlled by the man himself, live on stage. There are a bunch of rare instruments in there, included a pair of organs that use glass bottles of various sizes with liquid in them to create sound. An air pump blows air across the top of each bottle as you play the keys... amazing. It took forever to build.

Outside of work, Gadget and I have been trying to get out and have fun! She's been able to get out more than I have, but we've gone rock jumping in the park, drunk midnight swinging... typical stuff.
-texting while swinging.
-hot.
-some kid must've tried to let these gummi worms go free earlier in the day.
Check these random adorable twins!
They turned out to be some sort of demon spawn or forest sprites of some kind... they multiplied into triplets right before our eyes!
I made bacon-wrapped chicken...
...and took Gadget to the Eye Doctor!
Beige-cat slept like Superman...
...until I woke him up and wrapped him up!
Oh, and Gadget and I had some alone time, too...
Well I suppose that is all for now...
