I have a manager that's 5000 miles away but loves to micromanage and I can't stand it. I caught him twice asking other people about my work as if he's getting a second opinion and trying to build an arguement that I'm incompetent and unable to do my job. (Both agreed with my decision, one because he was in the thick with me that led to it... The other relunctantly after he couldn't do it either.). What kills me is that I had great evaluations from previous managers and then this guys comes along and now he's trying to run me out of the job. Wtf?!?!? Just goes to show you it takes more the certification and process models to be a real manager.
