Try hitting up Shadowland in Philly, at the Ulana's club around Bainbridge st. Orrrr....you could go to Nocturn Night at Shampoo club. There's a ton of "goth, EBM, cyber" whatever style events at certain clubs. You just gotta search a little deeper...or in a dark corner
atkins low carb....works wonders! seriously...i gained alot of weight when i started dating my bf and im in the process of losing it right now...ive been doing it about 2 weeks and have lost about 10 or so pounds
Atkins IS a great start. I used that when I was in 11th grade, and ended up turning fat into muscle. I didn't go from Barny Gumble to Rainier Wolfcastle (Simpsons reference), but from Homer to Tom (Bart's "big brother").
What you want to do is have significant protein intake (but not too much) with a low fat diet, drink teas and take vitamines that boost metabolism (but avoid metabolic steroids and artificial metabolism- you want boost, not warp).
Be active whether aerobically or train with weights. Fat breaks down proteins into amino acids, so some fat is necessary, but that depends on whether you choose to become stronger or not.
My point is, that building muscle is the best way to burn fat. Just avoid whey protein for now since it has a significant source of fat (meant for skinny twiggish dudes like my friend Mazz).
Start small, and test the water. When you know what you're doing, step it up. I can walk you through it if you want.
If you go the weight training route, work your abs extra hard, but also your arms and legs for speed. Trust me!
