I should be working but I'm going to type this out anyway. On the night of the 21st I drove to Monterey, CA, crashed at my friends house. We were going to leave the next morning early for Idaho... he was avoiding giving me a straight answer as to when we were leaving so I knew I was in trouble. After he did everything he had to do we ended up leaving at 2pm rather then 7 am. Between traffic and weather we arrived in Ketchum, Idaho at 5:30 am, we didn't to much the following day, but the evening was nice and eventful. As I was walking a pretty girl home from work I see my friend in the window of a Mexican restaurant, sitting with an empty pitcher and one he was working on with a friend from LA. Anyway, about 3-4 hours later I was walking around town with the same mentioned pretty girl after some dinner and I receive a text message from another friend saying the friend I drove up with crashed his car... enjoying myself and not wanting the good evening to end I rolled the text message around in my head for a few minutes, realizing that he was my only transportation and if he were critically injured or dead there would be nothing I could do from where I was to help. So I reluctantly called him, he answered and it turned out the local tow truck driver backed into his car while he was parked at a gas station and he didn't crash terribly while drunk as the events leading up to the call suggested. Regardless I was stuck in Idaho for 9 days rather than 4.
