Bush, Sen Pete Domenici & Sen John McCain tried to promote the glories of privatization in Albuquerque.
Bush says that social security is in fiscal trouble yet Bush doesn't offer a plan to fix the fiscal trouble, yet wants to push for privatization that would destroy social security altogether, and thats what they have been trying to do since FDR, destroy social security.

McCain said he supports Bush's plan to allow workers to divert nearly a third of their Social Security taxes into personal accounts. Although those accounts will not address Social Security's long-term funding problems.
If the crises is the funding problem, then why aren't we talking about how to fix the funding problem? The Republicans continue to talk about something that doesn't address what they say is the central problem, which is a fiscal problem. Why push for private accounts when the problem is fiscal?

So the Republicans never attack the Democrats? Cry me a Mississippi River!
What about Bushes brain, Karl Rove? Remember when Harold See was running against Mark Kennedy for the 1994 Supreme Court in Alabama? Rove's slimiest moment came in 1994, when See first ran for the Supreme Court in Alabama against Democratic incumbent Mark Kennedy, who had just served a term as president of the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect. Kennedy's commercials highlighted his volunteer work - and included one that showed him holding hands with children - so Rove started a whispering campaign that Kennedy was a pedophile, Green writes. "What Rove does is try and make something so bad for a family that the candidate will not subject the family to the hardship," explained Perkins.
In the 1996 Alabama Supreme Court race between Democratic incumbent Kenneth Ingram and Republican challenger Harold See, Rove printed anonymous fliers attacking See, his own client. The purpose was "'to create a backlash against the Democrat,' as Joe Perkins, who worked for Ingram, put it to me," Green writes. "Presumably the public would believe that Democrats were spreading terrible rumors about See and his family. ... The ploy left Rove's opponent at a loss. Ingram's staff realized that it would be fruitless to try to persuade the public that the See campaign was attacking its own candidate."
Rumormongering is another tool in Rove's bag, Green writes. In the late 1980s, when political consultant John Weaver - John McCain's top 2000 adviser - hired away one of Rove's employees, "Rove spread a rumor that Weaver had made a pass at a young man at a state Republican function," Green writes. Weaver quickly became persona non grata in the Texas GOP.
Remember the devastating smear campaign Rove and Bush launched against fellow Republican John McCain during the 2000 South Carolina primary? Do you remember how the Bush camp got the religious conservative community to support them?
Church fliers were distributed saying that McCain was "The Fag Candidate"
McCain Slurs Included Illegitimate Children, Homosexuality And A Drug-Addict Wife.
Rumors that his adopted Bangladeshi daughter was actually black, rumors that McCain was both gay and cheated on his wife, and that his wife Cindy was a drug addict.
They tried to make him seem crazy due to his 5 years as a P.O.W. in Vietnam and that he committed treason. Rove also said McCain fathered a child with a black prostitute.
Remember what happened to John kerry Last year?
