Rizzy's Day Off
Wednesday was my last day off before a streak of 10 days working in a row. Before you go feeling all bad for me, keep in mind that two of those days are at time and a half. And that When it's over, I get two weeks of going swing dancing in a row!! I'm pretty much a happy little girl to be doing this.
Speaking of swing dancing... I ran into Jeremy AGAIN last night randomly. This time minus the sweat pouring off of his face. Seeing him always gets me excited to go dancing again. He's so damn talented... at least last time I kept pace with him as opposed to the first time where I was LITERALLY tripping over my own feet. It also gets me pumped to move to a city that actually has things like OMG Jazz clubs! And places to salsa and swing dance more than one night a week....
My mom and I decided to drive down to Minneapolis to go the Minnesota State Fair, which is freaking awesome, for the record. We did the entire park and ride thing and took the bus out to the fair grounds. I made my mom sit on the center part of the big bus... you know that little thing that swivels as the bus turns with the accordion style backing? This is my mom looking a bit nervous about it. It was fun though!!
I'm sorry, I love our State Fair, but Back to the 50s is so much cooler... maybe cause I like cars better than pigs... and farm animals and stuff.
Our pitiful excuse for a "space needle"
My favorite thing to eat at the state fair. The corn, OMG amazingly tasty!! Best thing I ate all day. For the amount of people that were eating there, they really did an awesome job of moving people through quickly.
This photo was actually taken for Morie... but yeah, I though this was a fun shot of a parade we saw going by.
Another shot of the parade we got stopped by.... That chicken by the barn? Yeah, so he was dancing to the chicken dance. Fun times.
My mom trying on a silly hair color. Is it wrong that I'd totally love to see my mom dye her hair purple or something?
I'm thinking of getting bangs... more the style of Bettie Paige though... I love Bettie Paige. I wasn't a big fan of this color, though.
After the state fair we went back to Fargo, where my mother and I bar hopped downtown... yes, I went out and got drunk with my mommy... Here is my mother and me at the Dirty E... that's right, I brought my mother to the Empire, a bar so dirty that its nicknamed embraced it's dirty roots.
Another shot of my mom and me laughing after having been to four bars and been drinking I don't even know how much. It was some awesome times though, my mother rocks. And then we ran into my tattoo artist... that's right, I went out drinking with my mother and my tattoo artist on my day off.
Aaron's zombie badger... my tattoo artist's latest tattoo... it kinda cracked me up. I love this boy, seriously, he's so beyond awesome.
How can you not love a face like that?! I REALLY have to go make an appointment with him sometime soon though, because I keep drinking with him and every time he hassles me about it... he wants to redo my neck before I go and some other stuff. I'd love to have him do it all. My mom totally fell in love with me and I think she understood a bit more about why I want more tattoos... she got to see us all talking and me all enthusiastic, I think it was good for her. I told her about my FNLHC tattoo... she didn't seem to mind that one as much as some of the others.
Aubray and my mom chatting it up at the E. My mom bought a bunch of rounds for my friends. It was awesome times.
After talking to Gregg the other night and hanging out with Craig about a week ago drinking beers that I normally don't drink, but are awesome, I've decided that I'm going to start trying more beers. I'm going to start expanding my beer drinking horizons. I stalked up on a bunch of stuff for this weekend. I also think I'm going to make Old Chicago my new hangout at least once a week... start doing their beer tour.
Also, Nick has hit bottom and therefor stopped being such a douche. He had gotten a DUI and then he took a big blow to the head at work and ended up in the ER most of Wednesday... I've started hanging out with him again and I'm happy to say drama and move free. That's right, he's just happy to chill with me again. It's been nice to have the real him back. I missed him. Still not romantically interested AT ALL, but it's good to have him back.
