So here it is, at the request of
atomicharlie, an excerpt from the book I'm writing. A lot of my book is about strained famliy relations. It's main character is Jason (a.k.a. Jase) who is a female named after Jason Vorhees. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Where we are now in the story, Bogart has met a new girl and flown from California to Minnesota to spend some time getting to know her and her family together. He's off handedly made mention of the town to his father, but did not invite him. Then, while hanging out at the movie theater waiting for Jase to be done working, his father shows up on the scene. Very much not welcome. The following is my teaser story for you:

"Bogart, my boy!" Thomas waltzed into the theater as Angela revealed her true nature to shocked Sleepaway viewers. His voice was more jovial than good, old St. Nick as he greeted his son with all the love a father should offer.
"Hello, Father." Bogart said dryly with all the enthusiasm for their more traditional greetings.
"Don't sound so happy to see your old man!" Jarvis smiled wickedly at his son.
"Why are you here, father? And why are you so uncharacteristically happy?" Bogart looked suspiciously at Thomas.
"Can't a father be happy to see his son?" Thomas winked, "I met your girlfriend! Why if she isn't a fantastic little number, I can see why you flew all the way out here for her! Worth pulling out all the stops for that one!"
"Don't talk about her that way. She's not one of those girls you treat with such utter disrespect." Bogart turned to look directly at his father.
"Pardon moi?" Thomas' demeanor began to return to it's more traditional smugness.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, how does that speech of yours go? I know you've perfected it over the years. How does it start out again, something like 'Now, Casey'" Bogart spoke with a tone of smugness normally reserved for just his father to use.
Cut to Thomas sitting on a bed looking across at a naked CASEY, age 27, bleached hair, big boobs half covered by a sheet, doe-eyed.
"We've had some beautiful and amazing times together" Camera on Thomas as he speaks with a smile that causes Casey to giggle a bit, "and this has been a beautiful affair, but...
"Tatem," cut to Thomas sitting on the bed across form TATEM, age 25, a short blonde bob, a thinner frame, heavy brow of concern, "like all things that are beautiful in this world, this one has come to an end." Tatems's jaw drops a bit.
"And I know what you're going to say, Maureen," cut to Thomas putting a finger across MAUREEN's lips, age 24, long, wavy brunette hair, waif frame, with full pouting lips, "but at times like this it's much better to hold in our thoughts and savor these final moments,"
"So, that when we look back on our time together, Sidney," flash to Thomas on the bed comforting SIDNEY, age 19, a full-figured Latino with a brave posture and soft face, "it won't be tainted with tears and angry words, but filled with the bittersweet happiness we always knew...
"..would never last." Cut to Bogart smugly looking back at Thomas, "isn't that how it goes? Or just something like it."
"No, you're right. Jason is not one of those girls at all." Thomas's words held hidden meanings.
"Oh my God," Bogart fell back into his seat as his face went white. He looked as though his soul had been whipped out of his body, run through the wash with too much bleach and then shoved back inside him with a spatula, "It's her, isn't it? Your mistress. La Jolie de Paris, of all those years ago? The one mom always feared. All those years ago... I meet someone and it has got to be her." Bogart put his head in his hands.
"C'est vrais. That is Ma Jolie."

I finally have my own bed at my new apartment!!! It's beyond awesome to have a bed again!! It was one of the many things I did during my super productive day. I also finally got a bunch of laundry done.
I had to make up for yesterday, which was pretty much the best day EVER. Yes EVER! It was Lindz's bday celebration and we had smoothies and then went out and sang some karoake. We sang not only Ace of Base, but Spice Girls, too. It was like the best thing ever. Ever. Ever.
Than we took some crazy photos.
