I've had a really rough week with bobwhite quail.
Watching my daughter hold her emotions in when the feed store guy said "i sold them an hour ago" really sucked!!!!
Then, my wife found an amazing couple that gave us 4 chicks. Unfortunately they have had severe problems with chick survival. So, as you can imagine, all of my girls babies died. I even spent a week finding the best feed, bedding, lamps, etc.
I've raised chickens, turkeys, ringneck pheasant, ducks, and bantams. This was something bacterial, and stress from transport included.
Just really sucks for my girl after she held up her part then watched them die one by one. (no crushed heart emoticon)
