Hey everybody!
Thanks for all the feedback on my very first brand new photo set!
I'm glad so many people liked it and thanks again for all the friend requests and messages.
I had some computer trouble last night so I didn't reply as quickly as I would have liked to but I got to it today and I hope to talk to all of you more!
I have another set going up next month and plan to take more pictures as soon as I get my hair color touched up.
Its purple and pink now but the pink faded crazy fast so I have to redo it before I can take more photos.
Hmmmm what to talk about.
Oh!
A few people noticed my thought police reference... I've been reading 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 and thinking about what that kind of world would be like. I'm already a little paranoid! hahaha.... Movies like Minority Report and Equilibrium are so related to these books. Its like the directors really wanted to bring the old pessimistic novels up to date, and they did a great job. I heard on the news one day that the CIA is trying to create a computer program to predict people based on their purchases, cash flow, toll booth things, and all that kind of stuff. Do you realize how many times the average person is video taped daily? Its crazy. Don't think about it too much or you'll start seeing conspiracy theories... I'm just saying, its a freaky concept.
Another few people noticed my 6655321 tattoo. It is from the book in my set A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. There is also a movie based on the book (same title) directed by Stanley Kubrick who is responsible for The Shining and Full Metal Jacket, so the film is outstanding as well... in the movie the number is 655321, not much different but a little. My tattoo was copied directly from the book. The main character is a trouble maker who goes to prison for accidentally killing a woman with a statue. He is given the number 6655321 and it becomes his name. He undergoes a strange new proceedure that is supposed to fix his bad behavior and after the treatment he will be released from prison. However, the treatment cannot change who he is on the inside. It can only fix his behavior, and ultimately he is the same old Alex that he was at the start. If you get a chance check out the book or movie. You may have to read/watch it twice because Anthony Burgess created a slang language just for the novel. It can be hard to understand at times, but once you get it, you will see its beauty.
Also, does anyone know where my screen name comes from?
Just wondering if there is anyone out there who noticed it...
Let me know.
Thanks again
