I think without this book there would not have been Ulysses from Joyce or other great books.
You will never forget Walter, Trym and most of the characters of the book.
The quality of writing is just exquisite.
Heavily influenced by Rabelais (Pantagruel, Gargantua), Cervantes (Don Quijotte).
It inspired many great frawings with the Doctor Slop and other characters.
