Hello SG community!! I haven't written a blog in quite a while but I thought I'd give you all an update. A lot has changed in my life in the last few months....at least I feel that way in my head! I had a beautiful roommate for a few months and she just moved back to Florida (I cannot blame her! Florida is amazing) but living and working with her has really helped me come out of my shell.
I no longer hate going to work :) For a while I was working at Sapphire and another large and busy club in Vegas, and I was miserable. I didn't realize it was because I was working in clubs that didn't fit my personality. I am NOT a hard core hustler type of personality and I am easily overwhelmed by large crowds of people....that that is what was happening every time I went to work at those places. I also found the management to be extremely corrupt and felt they were definitely NOT out for my well-being at ALL...and would rather make a quick buck than make sure the girls aren't being molested.
Recently I began working at a much smaller club with far less dancers and customers. Although I face new challenges (such as a slow club on some days), I FAR prefer dealing with that than with the challenges of the huge corporate clubs. The smaller clubs really take care of their dancers (especially the hot ones lol) because they NEED us. They know if they treat us like shit....we will bounce. Just being pretty isn't enough at a club like Sapphire because they have 600 amazingly beautiful girls working every night....so it creates a balance where we need them more than they need us. I do not want to work in a club that treats their dancers like they are disposable and that favors the customers' WANTS over our NEEDS (such as, safety and respect for our boundaries).
I am happy to say I am very excited to work this weekend and am looking forward to meeting lots of nice customers and making lots of money...and that is way it should feel to be a dancer. To quote a dancer from the Stripperweb forum...."We aren't just doing this for money.....we're doing this for a SHITLOAD of money!!" lol.
Also, I'm pleased to say I had a shoot yesterday with a new photographer and it was GREAT! We took tons of amazing pictures and I learned a LOT about posing, angles, facial expressions....basically everything. I am very excited about my set which comes out in a week and a half....and am looking forward to shooting my next set ASAP. I'd really love to be able to shoot a set at least once a month.....I know that's a lofty goal but being that I only work about 3 days a week....I really shouldn't have a problem doing it. This would fit right along with my goal to travel somewhere fun at least once a month. I have so many places I want to visit....Portland, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Yosemite, Zion, NYC.....everywhere :) Soooo if you're a SG photographer and would like to shoot...please send me a message and maybe I'll come visit you! :D
Yesterday we took some pictures next to a lake with the full moon and a sexy hot rod car....this is a pic the photographer's brother snapped with his iPhone while I was looking at the "real" camera lol but it still turned out pretty cool. I will post the professional pics on my Instagram as soon as I have them!
TL;DR Version: I am no longer hating life...I work at a new small club in Vegas that I love and here is a pic of me on a hot rod car :D
