Ok... so... the progression since last update
I officially had my first few days of work with the big HD (not the motorcycles
) this weekend for 16 hrs of orientation. Not too bad but it just served as a great emphasis that my mindset is completely different from highschool kids and even just regular civilians. Also, I'm a total manager and leader now as even within our small group I was motivating people to talk, interact, and produce. Go me!
Tomorrow is my first day at the store, and hopefully I'll find out what department I'll be supervising. So the career world is back on track and off to a good start. I'm actually excited to go to work for the first time in about 3.5 years.
Personal life is still going super super well. Still no luck with finding someone to take over her apartment. We've had quite a few folks check it out, but only one taker. Then the girl had just lost her job so she wasn't going to be even considered
Hopefully she'll find a job and then she can take it. Otherwise, just have to keep hoping for someone to fall in love with it :-/ At least the spring is coming so hopefully more people will be after it.
And finally... IT'S WARMED UP!!! The weather is finally going back up into the realm where I can pull my bike out of the moth balls and go for a ride
Felt so good to finally stretch out the legs and begin training.
Oh yes... that's right... training. I'm officially in training for the Lance Armstrong Foundation's LIVESTRONG Century Ride in Portland, Oregon. I even have a webpage to allow folks to sponsor me
You can find it here: Support My Century!
As a part of this effort, I've been contacted by a freelance writer from the Chicago Tribune who wants to interview me! I'm so freaking excited! I'll be sure to keep you folks posted on my efforts
Cheers all!
