♥ went to a rad picnic this weekend with the SGSD crew. My friend Katieesq came out and the next day I bought her an SG membership. You should really go say hi. Weston came out and you should all go wish him well--he is getting brain surgery today. He is an awesome guy and I can't wait until he is healthy and can come out and have another picnic with us. Katieesq and _jordan_ took a bunch of photos so here are a few. You may have noticed my new, awesome third profile photo and it is from that day as well.
Yikes, these photos are huge! I will figure it out later when I don't have to go finish getting ready for work.
I habitually do this with my toes. I am doing it right now! It feels so comforting. My little brother thinks it looks gross. He is lame.

Sex party time!
Here is Buzz smiling at the spread we had. He would have loved to have some of that KFC. Unfortunately (for him) he is just a dog and was resigned to snuffling tiny bits out of the grass.
♥ almost bought a Honda Fit last night! The dealer was kind of jerking us around ($1000 appearance prep package? PLEASE.) so uproot's dad is going to phone and badger them into giving us a better interest rate and removing the price inflation, since he is co-signing and he can do stuff like that. He is so awesome!
♥ I miss Calgary SO MUCH right now. I lived there for 2.5 years and moved away almost 2 years ago. I miss my pal Lavonne. Summer is so rad on the prairie. I miss thunderstorms. I love the explosion of green that happens late-May, when everything bursts into colour and it finally feels like winter is gone. I know I will go there again but the next time will probably be this winter. I will have to visit next summer too, so I stop missing it.

♥ Canadian Music Corner! Missed it last time because I was pondering the likelihood of spectral echoes, but I'm being more down-to-earth today.
Cadence Weapon! I think Canadian hip hop has a bad rep but Canada has spawned a tonne of good rappers. Buck 65, K-os, Kardinal Offishal, Snow, etc. I don't know why, but it makes me feel super-bummed that none of my (lovely) American friends gets the hilariosity of Snow. I brought it up to uproot and he thought I was talking about the weather. Sigh.
ANYWAY, Cadence Weapon--his music has really heavy beats and I like its sound so much. Not to mention, he's rapping about places I know about (we are both from Edmonton) and I think that is so cool. You have got to check out his New Music Canada page to hear good-quality copies of his songs.
♥ oh yeah! More rad fanarts! For some reason, I hardly got any for about 2.5 years, but now I have got a bunch in a couple months, which really makes up for the dry spell. plus, they are all super nice so that is kind of awesome as well.
