so, as you can see, the drive out was so beautiful it was REDONK. and of course being stuck in a car with s_eldorado for 9 hours was nice, we talked a lot and caught up and giggled and just talked about how happy we are to be living in the same city!! that guy is solid gold, i tell you.

♥ today i had a great start to this city! i had breakfast with malloreigh and my girl linds and some other people. in true mal-and-rin fashion, we spent most of the time talking about nipples.

♥ on that note, later me and miss m. were discussing dirty underwear vending machines in japan and the people in front of us on the escalator kept turning around and staring (it was a long escalator) and then finally jogged down the steps so they wouldn't have to stand by us anymore. jerks!

♥ when i first came to vancouver (and, to be honest, all times subesquent) i loved how there were flowers/fruit for sale outside of small grocery stores. today i bought fruit from one such store!! what a small but exciting thing for me.

♥ i bought books today!! since what i moved was very minimal (no bed even!) i only brough like 30 books. if you have seen my tag it set, you know i have more then 30 books. we went to a book sale at the downtown branch of the library, where i will be applying tomo! i bought three pretty, old books, because i like old books, and one newer copy of the literary mag a room of one's own. when i get my shit together (again) i will submit to them. i submitted some stuff to the malahat review a couple months ago but no dice on that.

♥ so far my roommates are SOOO nice!! i totally love them. we really get along. everyone here is vegan or vegetarian and we almost all have mac laptops. i am going to like living here, especially once my room gets set up more. right now it looks like my stuff just exploded all over the damn place.

♥ i am so happy to be in vancouver! those that know me can tell you that i talked about vancouver and how great it is SO much and now that i am here it feels amazing. it was so nice and rainy today and i can't wait to explore the city more and eat good food and go to the beach even if it's not to swim and hang out with my friends here and just EVERYTHING.

♥ tomorrow i'm going to head out to the library and other places and job hunt. gogo responsible rin!!
