lo and behold, i am alive! unfortunately i am not even going to try to tackle the majority of the comments (there are seventy fricking four!) but i have to say THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BIRTHDAY WISHES!! ♥ i had a really fantastic birthday and twenty two is nice so far, even though it's only been a few days.
you may wonder why i have internet! the answer to that, dear sg friends, is that i am once more at the abode of the fabulous lavonne! this time it is much more temporary, as s_eldorado came from VANCOUVER to pick me up/bring me there and we are sleeping here for the night before continuning on to van. this time tomorrow night, i should be chilling with the amazing malloreigh and nikala, who are to be my new roommates!
in this method of moving, i stuffed my 'most important' things into the back of s_e's hatchback. casualties included my guitar, which got ousted in place of my bedding, and my cookbooks. including the recipe book where i wrote my favourite stuff. also missing are my game systems! bullshit!! and I FORGOT TO BRING MY SKATEBOARD. what bullshit!! seriously. what the fuck will i do without it? walk? walking is for CHUMPS.

so now that i'm off to big bad vancouver, i will have to find a job! obvy, i know, but i hope you guys send me good-job vibes! i am looking forward to actually being able to have my own space and NOT live out of a suitcase. i probably would not be a great backpacker. i am frustrated by not being able to unpack!
speaking of traveling, my dad is taking the family (him, my stepmom, my brother and i) to the dominican republic for two weeks in march!! i am not much of a hot-weather person but i'm not complaining as it will be a free trip and the first family vacation in about ten years. i will bring lots of books and read on the beach, while slathering myself in sunbock. yeah.
at my mom's, i got to watch SO much good tv. judge judy, dog the bounty hunter, coronation street, kids in the hall, the daily show, and even good discovery channel shows. and classics like batman and the a-team. and star trek: tng, which i must admit is my favourite in the star trek franchise. and the amazing race, which could be a kind of guilty pleasure. HA! i can say i like DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER with a straight face, but the amazing race is guilty? my brain is silly.
i don't really know what else to say, even though i haven't updated in ages. i'm happy to be finally going to vancouver; i've been waiting a year for this! i'm sad to be leaving my family (of course) and looking forward to what lies ahead. for one, the drive to vancouver. kicking horse pass is breathtaking.
