Though your job has become a lazy, hacky, barrage of useless information, and cliched hyperbole, please stop using the term, "control their own destiny."
If it is destiny, it is DESTINED, it is going to happen, therefore cannot be changed by the efforts of players, coaches, etc.
Perhaps, "control their own future", would be an acceptable replacement.
I understand that many people use the term in this context, and it's easier than thinking, and coming up with your own shit, but many people are fucking, douchebag assholes, too. Do you want to join that club, also?
