So, this is my vent thread....
My laptops mother board fried and in order for Gateway to replace it, it has to be returned to the factory like it was purchased as. So I have to downgrade my RAM otherwise they'll either a. take my 2 GIGs out and throw it away or b. send me my laptop back and tell me to put the 512 back in it.
DUMB.

Yesterday, I went to Best Buy.. After waiting for 30 minutes for someone to help me with RAM, this guy who I know wasn't in the mood to get me as a customer finally decided to help me.
Okay, all I needed was 512 RAM for my Gateway POS laptop I purchased from Best Buy in August of last year.
I bought 2 GIGs of ram that were on sale like 3 and a half weeks ago, if that, and had NO problems whatsoever.
Obviously in that 3 and a half week period that I haven't been to Best Buy, I guess they made a new rule that you HAD to know your model number of your laptop to purchase RAM now.
Hmmmm..
THIS FUCKING ASSHOLE GUY ARGUED WITH ME FOR A LITTLE OVER 10 MINUTES ABOUT ME NEEDING MY STUPID FUCKING MODEL NUMBER FOR MY LAPTOP TO BUY RAM. THEN HE PROCEEDED TO POINT OUT DESKTOP RAM ON THE PIECE OF FUCKING PAPER ATTACHED TO THE WINDOW SAYING THAT I HAD TO KNOW THE MODEL NUMBER IN ORDER TO GET SOME BECAUSE IT ALL DEPENDED ON WHERE THE GAP WAS

LAPTOP RAM NOTTTTT DESKTOP RAM.
THEN I pointed out the RAM that I had bought a few weeks ago.
He told me I still needed my model number.
I JUST FUCKING POINTED IT OUT TO YOU
OPEN UP YOUR STUPID LITTLE FUCKING GLASS CASE TAKE OUT THE RAM THAT I HAD POINTED OUT TO YOU AND TURN IT OVER AND LOOK AT THE RAM
HOW FUCKING HARD IS THAT
I DON'T UNDERSTAND
HOW DID THIS GUY GET A JOB AT FUCKING BEST BUY
Now I understand that people that might work there... can be a little dumb... but this guy was a complete retard.
I literally told him in the middle of him arguing.. "I'm going to have to walk away now, because I am going to freak out on you and it's not going to be pretty."
Then I had to count to 10 seconds to calm down my anger.
THEN
I walked over to some other guy
aka his manager
told him what happened
he took me over to the RAM section
and got me the RAM I needed
WITHOUT A MODEL NUMBER.

that happened to me at the bike shop the other day. luckily the manager/higher-up knew what he was talking about and managed to degrade the employee in front me. always nice.

people are so incompetent at best buy, yet they are the hardest retail store to get a job at with the 3 interviews and drug testing.
