Yesterday I was driving to Moose Jaw and I started thinking about all the things I want to do and accomplish yet in this lifetime. Now I've always believed that when someone writes down their goals the chances improve that they will actually accomplish them. Therefore, I unveil my own personal want to do list as of Feburary 26, 2006.
1) I want to get out of the IT Industry and become a successful Independent Film maker. I've definitely started down the path for this one. However, most Independent Film makers I know either have a job on the side or they are dirt poor. Success for me would include not having to work another job and still being able to live somewhat comfortably. The key here is I want to express my own creativity not help create someone else's vision.
2) I want drive a motorcycle from Alaska to Mexico. I had a eccentric Uncle who got this thought in my head when I was a boy but then he went and passed away. However, when I worked in the Yukon I met a guy who was doing just that and he solidified that thought in my brain.
3) I would like to play bass guitar in a Blues Band. Of course I haven't touched a bass guitar in over 10 years so this one may not happen over night.
4) I would like to buy a house in the country but be close enough to a city so I could get to a 7/11 in less then an hour. There I would have a Husky name Dakota and a Chocolate Lab named Bailey.
5) I want to travel Europe and spend time in Japan. I definitely want to spend enough time at each to fully appreciate the culture and bring some of it back as part of my own personality.
6) Last and prehaps the most important one is I want to see my daughter grow up and accomplish her own dreams. There's no doubt in my mind that she'll do great things so all I got to do is stick around long enough to kick the ass of anyone who hurts her or gets in her way
