Just saw the Pixies in Albany. I sat with baited breath before the show, worrying that they might have lost their pizazz during their rather extended hiatus, but was pleasantly surprised when they took the stage and revealed to the audience that yes, they can indeed still rock. An all acoustic set (yes, including Kim Deal on acoustic bass). It looked liked old animosities between band members have faded into the recesses of memory.
Most of the audience looked like they'd spent far too much time in Hot Topic. Corporate pseudo punk turns my stomach, so I focused on the band.
Tomorrow (later today, that is), I'll go to a funeral for someone I've never met - my best friend's father. Actually, my best friend hadn't even seen him in ten or twenty years, since he was a wee lad. Hard to know what to say in a situation like that.

Good luck with the funeral, I don't really know what you would say in that sittuation either.
p.s. I looked you up by typing in my new zipcode. I'm new to the area and thought I would drop in and say hey!!!
