So I've been kinda busy the last few days. I've actually fallen into a new guild called Pax Republica. It's a pre-game guild for Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG. I know the game still hasn't come out but I've been anticipating anxiously for this game to come out. So I decided to join a bunch of people who feel the same way I do. So far Pax Republica is one of the bigger PvP guilds on the West Coast. We are around 100 strong. I've seen bigger guilds but it's hard to police itself when it becomes too big.

So far I'm enjoying myself with this new guild and all they have to offer. Talking to some make me feel old. (some of them are still in high school) But as far as I can tell they are mature enough. Everyone enjoys a laugh there and, as far as I can tell, really are a nice group of people. I wonder If I should be careful with what I say or just be myself. So far I've been doing a bit of both. Kinda edging myself in, as well as being cautious. Though as soon as everyone gets used to me being around I think I can let down my hair, so to speak.
So far I'm a trainee or a N00b of the guild, I've been accepted and they are giving me a two week trial to test out if I'm comfortable with the guild and if I'm a good fit. I've been tasked to complete a few things in order to be come a full member. One is post 15 times on the forum, of course meaningful things. Not things that will just boost my post count. Though so far I'm 48 posts in and all I needed was 15
. Next week I have to make another 15 but I don't anticipate that to be an issue. To be honest I've completed all the things they have given me to do. In less then two days. I was only accepted in the guild Tuesday night. I even got a thumbs up from the guild leader himself after I had played with him and some other members in a game of League of Legends (The name is Shadowdun in-game by the way ;D)
I've actually had the chance to talk to the Guild leader a few times and he seems like a nice guy though the only thing that worries me is that he can be a little condescending to the younger members. They don't seem to mind but if he doesn't keep it in check there could be problems when the game comes out and there has to be some real co-operation to be had. Really, though just speculation. Though once my words carry weight I might let him know. Though for now I'll be the trainee I should be and take in all the guild has to offer.
I actually plan to be a Smuggler in-game much like Han Solo ![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
Other than that minor issue. I see no down side. I'm pretty comfortable in this guild and It'll only get better when I start making some real friends in chat. Though that would be much easier if the game had already come out! Though waiting patently with these people doesn't seem soo bad.![biggrin](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/biggrin.b730b6165809.gif)
Oh on a side note: These forums are waaaaay better to use![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
