Happy Pancake Tuesday!
Today is Mardi Gras, or Pancake Tuesday, you choose. This year I chose Pancake Tuesday. I went out with a few friends to Future Bakery & Cafe on Bloor. It's a charming and cozy place. The lights dimmed low, and some great simple dishes, along a kick ass bakery section. We all had the pancakes; blueberry, banana, strawberry! They really know how to make good pancakes at this place, light and fluffy, yet very substantial. I'm in a slight food coma at the moment, but it was worth it. I've been working hard and deserved the treat!
I arrived about 30 early so I decided to hit up the BMV Books If you are a book lover and haven't been here, you are totally missing out. It's a decent size and the prices are hard to beat. I've been meaning to read a book lately. I hardly read, but I do enjoy it and can appreciate the benefits such as improving your vocabulary and concentration. I bought "Me Talk Pretty One Day". It's a collection of essays from humorist David Sedaris. Just what I need, a light and pleasant read to get me back into the swing of things. Have any of you read it, or heard of it?
Anyway, tomorrow is Wednesday, my favorite day, because it means after Wednesday is over, it's Thursday, and Thursdays get me pumped because the next day is Friday. Haha, ok, I'm just trying to put a positive spin on "Hump Day"
