Around 9pm December 29th 2008, I had a breakdown. Changes are being made to ensure another does not occur.

We'll assume that the post on the 28th was some sort of precursor to incident. I'm further from back than I ever was. Alas.

Anytime you want to chat about literature let me know. I am always game to talk about it. Love to, in fact. I hope you feel better.

hey! all is better?

Two years. Really a subset of four lost years. Indeed, if we are honest, most of this decade has been lost to mismanagement. Alas.

Will I have the wherewithal to regain the path? Was I ever on it to begin with?

Back? Oh, hmm, yes. I think. Perhaps.

Incidentally I loved your commentary on the set comments limit. I got sick or reading, "you are sexy," and "I loved it" so I started leaving actually comments if I really love the set, or I think it came up just short I have been known to PM the photographer or the model and tell them exactly what I liked or didn't like about it. I always try and be positive, most of my commentary comes in the form of, "trust yourself, you were on to something great..." I quit leaving comments on SG sets, because I am nearly positive they don't read them and I don't know what they would do with criticism (in a classical sense) if they read it... Maybe they take it to heart, or maybe they disregard it? Who knows. Great posts.

It's funny the last time you commented in my blog, this was happening. Now, this is.

Welcome back though. Yeah, there's been a lot of changes to the site and i still haven't figured them all out. Mostly because I'm not on here a whole lot. First there was the shift towards a myspace-y SG and now that facebook is so popular, we get the "feeds" and other stuff which works great in those sites, but not so much here. So much for anti establishment DIY, eh?

Hmm. So is there any logical reason to limit comments on photosets to 512 characters?

I'm guessing the endless comments of "I loved it" are from people who already discovered this feature.

*le sigh*

Does anyone happen to remember a poem in which the narrator talks about how s/he admires Lot's wife? I vaguely remember liking the turn that was taken towards the end of it, but the knowledge of the title and who wrote it have long since left my headspace.

The guy wants to be remembered for being the guy who doesn't want to be remembered. Such is his angst with the world, or himself.

I don't know which movie it's from but it occurs to me that if that's really what the guy wanted he'd just shut the fuck up, die in isolation and especially not tell anyone that he didn't want to be remembered. Even he had to tell someone about it first though.
-but then, it was just a movie. Heh heh.

Your own personal measuring stick is the hardest one to live up to. Even if you lie to youself about it, you know. It's much easier to just go out and buy a new barbeque that's bigger and shinier than the Johnon's have next door...

I do not excuse myself from any of these human traits of course. I do try to keep a handle on them, as part of my measuring stick wink

None come to mind however...i got nothing. I never dug poetry much...but Lord Tennison (the few snippets i read) moved me.

- My headspace has been filled with curious distractions for quite some time. I have to hope that lucidity is on the horizon.

- Rewatching Bram Stoker's Dracula I was struck by how much I enjoyed Anthony Hopkins' Van Helsing. It's a delightfully madcap perfomance that can't help but steal every scene that he's in. In the novel, Van Helsing is capable of understanding what's...

Yea, that's the conclusion that I've come to...both work together robot

Huh, as I recall, i was precisely because Helsing was the scientific one, ready to analyze how magic worked, etc... I wouldn't have called him irrational. Isn't he the one that demands that they put together all of their recordings, for instance, to create a detailed record to use to figure things out?

I seem to be somewhat predisposed to recurrent dreams. At last count, I've visited eleven distinct dreamtimes on repeated occasions. Sometimes the interval was as short as a few days; sometimes as long as several years. Sometimes the dream was exactly as last time; sometimes many variations introduced themselves.

One dream started happening early in college. I'd visit this strange Art Deco-ish house in the...

I doubt there is a logical reason for why I just bought a five hundred dollar pair of glasses (rimless Takumi's) when I usually wear contacts. Hmm.

I still can't believe this is only the fourth post I made in '05.

In some ways, this was a lost year for me. Every effort shall be made not to lose next year as well.

Out of idle curiosity, does anyone know what happened to my fav suicide girls?
