- Odd little meme running around positing that exes of Lidsay Lohan should consider being called the Riders of Lohan. It made me smile.
- Even odder rumor going around in some circles is that David Foster Wallace might do a Letterman appearance. One need only consider the last night a non-celeb or bestselling author who recently had a book made into a film was a guest on one of the late night talk shows to realize the validity of the rumor is very suspect (and here is where I have to admit that I used to watch and enjoy The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder, which was a show that occasionally had authors on it). Still, it'd be kinda cool if he was on and the Daves talked about "My Appearance." That'd be a tense couple of minutes.
- I have to admit that I'm looking forward to Garden State. The previews are beautifully put together and their choice of music is very nice. Granted, I have no idea what the film is about, but when's that ever stopped me?
- I'm starting to get some nibbles on resumes and applications that were sent out. Honestly, I was hoping for the employers to take their sweet time getting back to me, but I suppose employment will be nice after this extended break. It's odd though, I'm not sure what job I should be hoping to get. One of the academic ones? The banking one? The training one? Something I haven't yet applied for? The sad fact is that I've got a degree that warrants a career, but I only realy want a job at the moment.

--you must have been the youngest person to ever watch and appreciate the Late Late show with Tom Snyder. I thought the average age of his avid fans was about the same as the planet's.
--no idea what you're talking about dude.
--I'm in the same positions...I just quit my job and now have to look for a better one. But i have no idea what to look for and what to apply for. Maybe i should just go back to school and get a master's.
I thought the exact same thing about Garden State when I first saw the preview. Then I recieved a DVD with the same preview on it, and watched it over and over until I uncovered the storyline.
It's about a guy (the kid from Scrubs) and a girl (that chick from Star Wars) and they do stuff (like stand on top of construction equipment in the rain). Method Man's in it too, but I don't believe he was in the preview (and I wonder why...).
But yeah, I'm looking forward to it as well.
