Scattershot thoughts.
- The Erotic Alphabet.
- A very enjoyable evening listening to Bogey say lines like: "We came here to rob them and that's what we're gonna do -- beat their heads in, gouge their eyes out, slash their throats. Soon as we wash the dishes."
- I realize I'm still shockingly young, but every year around this time I start to think of how true the old adage of time speeding up as you age is. I can't believe that Christmas is in eleven days. Or that in eighteen it'll be 2004. It makes me think of the golden summers of my youth that seems to stretch for vast oceans of time which caused all of my friends to be completely different when we all stumbled back into the dying autumn for school. But I suppose this is a common thought for people my age. Time is just starting to speed up for me. I'll wake up soon and I'll be fifty, wondering where the time went.
- Speaking of time passing, I was shocked to be reminded that come December twenty-ninth, it'll be an entire year since I've given a full body massage. Last year the Violinist came back from Houston for the holidays and had some free time. Alas, other obligations keep her out of the Garden State this year.
- Wednesday was the final class I had with the worst teacher in my program. She loves me and my work, thinks I can do no wrong, has given me nothing but As, offered to be my thesis reader (I declined), offered to write a recommendation letter for me (I declined). But. She hates the work of two of my friends (one of whom is easily the best writer in the program) and makes more than a few personal attacks each time they submit something. Last year I wondered if she'd changed her meds or something (so violent was her change when turning to their work). This year I realize that she's just a small minded twat. But no more classes with the she-bitch. So yay.
- My Christmas shopping doesn't stop until Christmas Eve. Even if I've already gotten all of the gifts that I plan on getting everyone, I'm still on the lookout up until that night for something that catches my eyes. Often those late editions are the gifts that go over the best.

That Alphabet reminds me of one I had in my first grade class. Well, that one didnt have any naked ladies on it.
Happy holidays.
