I've been meaning to updated my journal, but haven't had much to say. This weekend was nice. Had a picnic (curry noodles!) with my girlfriend, my band played a show, I road-tested my new mix tape (it rocks) and hung out with my family. I've been birdwatching a lot lately. Migration season is the best. Today I saw the following birds:
American Robin, European Starling,Canada Goose (with at least 44 young), Crow, Ring-Billed Gull,
Monk Parakeet, Wood Duck, Swainson's Thrush,
Palm Warbler, Am. Goldfinch, Northern Cardinal, Green Heron, House Sparrow, Barn Swallow, White-Throated Sparrow, Gray Catbird, Belted Kingfisher, Blue Jay, Swamp Sparrow, Common Yellowthroat, Baltimore Oriole, Red-Headed Woodpecker, Red-Winged Blackbird, Black-Crowned Night Heron, Ovenbird, Ruby Crowned Kinglet,
Lincoln's Sparrow, Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Chimney Swift, Brown-HeadedCowbird, Black-Capped Chickadee, Song Sparrow, Common Grackle,
Mallard (with 4 tiny young), Tree Swallow, Northern Waterthrush, Nashville Warbler, Unidentified Empidonax Flycatcher (a couple that wouldn't sing),
Rough-Winged Swallow, Veery, House Wren, Northern (Yellow-Shafted) Flicker, Eastern Wood Peewee,
Black-Throated Green Warbler, Magnolia Warbler,
