Hey mate biggrin
I'm only on about 6 days a fortnight because the other 8 days I'm at work and I can't access the site from there obviously haha.

I've figured out exactly how much time I get go over to Europe for and sorry mate SRF is outta my time frame. Im going to Metal Camp til Party San, so a month and a half. That should be enough to satisfy me biggrin

Goto this website for flights to Australia. It compares just about every flight in existance coming to and leaving from Australia haha. You thinkin of paying a visit?
nolongerhere:
No... never been to Rock am Ring. Waaaay too big, waaaay too many weird people (weird as in "stupid emo kids who think rock'n'roll is the way to go"), plus, I'm not even a fan of RATM... I like Metallica... But I'd be afraid they'd play too much of that St Anger crap.

Ok, so this is pretty unreal... I've got two tickets to see Led Zeppelin, LED F*iNG ZEPPELIN!!!

I got an e-mail from the website today congratulating me for "winning" the tickets, i.e. winning the chance to pay 140 per ticket and so I did of course. The thing is I don't really have the money for this! shocked
I'm totally broke now! I should follow in...

Led Zeppelin are a very good reason to go broke, my man. And I know the feeling about going to shows on your own, something which I still do with alarming frequency. The problem is that whilst I know plenty of metal fans, I know very few who are into the doom/avant-garde side of things.

As for Nasum, I caught them on their UK tour a few months before Mieszko passed. It was strange as I hadn't heard much of their stuff beforehand, but the show blew me away. I started getting into them, and grindcore in general, a lot heavier after that.

Good luck with the Zep tickets, my man smile
solipsis:
Oh I don't expect anyone to be safe with anything I say just yet. I definitely need to work on context. I should really delete that message in SG Sweden also. blackeyed

And, I'm beyond jealous that you got to see Nasum before the end.
Have a good one.

I have a love/hate relationship to eBay and the Swedish part of eBay called Tradera.com. There are just too many cool stuff on there, this part I love. Must of the stuff I really want is very very expensive, this part I hate!

I collect records and merchandise with my three favorite metal band Opeth, Nasum and Merciless. It's going quite well only Opeth and...

I'm too poor to collect things wink
takeahnase:
My addictions with eBay are:
Neurosis (though I nearly have everything) and related stuff
The Mad Capsule Markets
Cult of Luna
Boris
Unsane
though I generally am happy just to have one copy of each album unless I see the LP going scarily cheap. That's really impressive with Nasum though. Did you ever get to see them live?

Last night I went to Wembley Arena to see Black Sabbath live... yep, that's right- BLACK FUCKING SABBATH!!! This was pretty much a lifelong dream coming true (well for the last ten years at least). Black Sabbath truly is the best band in the world, period! Like Rob Zombie said in the documentary "Metal: A Headbangers Journey" "Black Sabbath has already done everything, everything that...

this is the persistence tour lineup

Click

It covers all i want to see right now in Hardcore. Other then there is a good British group called Your Demise who i've seen before and must see again.

Im contemplating going to see Turisas (In Camden) and also Megadeth (at Brixton) in the new year aswell
nolongerhere:
I sure wouldn't mind a secret reunion gig or a Poisonblack gig or any other good concert wink

But in general I'm there to study of course wink

Actually I've spent quite a bit of time in Sweden already. Back when I was living with my parents it was (and still is) their favorite country for vacations. Spent many summers in the Karlstad area and lots of other places biggrin

I don't know how many times I've heard the word "cancer" today. News are stating that red meat and alcohol and similar stuff are increasing the risk of getting cancer. No shit! Everyone are more or less just saying the things Plato said thousands of years ago. "Ban anything fun and we will be healthier."

Just lock ourselves in isolated rooms so we're not exposed...

Wow, Nana's set has really has really caused a lot of attention on the site. It seems people are talking about it everywhere, as it should I guess when there is such controversy in a set. I've been temped many times to join the discussions. I have my opinion but I will keep it to myself at the moment, I think most of what could...

I just got back from 10 days of work so I've completely missed this whole Nana set thing, but I can get the jist of it from Felice's post above... Sounds messed up :|

I had an issue with a set about a year ago, can't remember the girl, but I'd just returned from Germany and her set just gave me the biggest recall of when I visited Dachau. I left a comment with words to that effect and I nearly got booted off the site by several angry SG's complaining that it wasn't me with my "balls swinging in the wind" shocked.I talked about it in a respectful way and they were finally convinced that I wasn't some myspace dumbass. Still, wasn't impressed by their feedback.

Since when has being a Nazi a form of hotness? If I recall correctly, Nazi stormtroopers were well ahead of their time in terms of kicking anyones asses, and not in terms of how attractive they were.

I think I'm like most people here hey. Came for the girls, staying for the community biggrin I'll catch up with ya at WOA for sure mate /m/!!

Great song smile

I've just about booked myself in for a solid month and a half of metal KRIEG biggrin
Its surprisingly not all that expensive. Gets ALOT cheaper once you're savy on the DB.

Yesterday I visited the London Tattoo Convention. I had an awesome time although I arrived very late due to a very hung over friend and trouble finding our way.

We didn't get away from home in High Wycombe until 4 p.m so we arrived in London at about 4.30. After we passed a few stops in the tube my friend got so sick he had...

My last post was a little sad. This one is a bit happiersmile

Last Wednesday I moved from my home in Sweden to High Wycombe, UK. I'm here to study some music industry related courses for one semester. After spending a couple of days in this new town I'm quite happy I moved here. The town is alright (didn't expect this many and steep hills...

Nope, never been to Party San.
I usually go to the RockHard Festival in Gelsenkirchen (~55Euros), the Dong Open air in Neukirchen-Vluyn (best festival ever! Only around 25Euros and beer for 1,50E biggrin... small cozy, only 15 minutes from where I live biggrin) and Wacken of course smile
There are certainly more expensive festivals in Tyskland (yeah, the three words of Swedish that I know wink), but I'm poor so - with th exception of Wacken - I only go to the cheaper ones wink
nolongerhere:
The "cheap" festival is not only Power metal wink A nice mlange of everything. THere's an English version of the site smile

Oh, another thing I know in Swedish is: "Dr att hlvete, jvla idiot!" ( not sure about the spelling wink). biggrin
Yeah, the useful things you learn at festivals wink

Do you fear change?
I didn't think I did but now I'm starting to believe I am. The last two years of my life has, without a doubt, been the greatest of my life. I've been going to college theses two years. I study a program called Music Management here in Sweden. The first one and a half of these two years me and my...
