Back to school.
Now it is back to reality in boring Kalmar again. I'm studying a program called Music Management which is way worse than it sounds. The first one and a half years were alright but now it is only marketing and other boring stuff we're studying and I won't even graduate after this semester as I was supposed to.
Ah well, it is awesome though to meet all my wonderful friends again whom I've missed when I was in England last semester, we had sort of a reunion party last Saturday which was really crazy and everybody was insanely drunk, like it's supposed to be!
This semester I won't be as poor as I've been earlier. I've got two jobs now but besides going to London in April to watch some high quality football (yes, that is Chelsea) and finishing my sleeve tattoo, I hope I can save a lot of the earnings and then work like crazy in the summer to have enough to go travel to Australia- that would be incredibly sweet.
Now for something completely different...
I'd like to support the Swedish scene.
First of is Khoma, an incredible band from Ume in Sweden (home of masters like Meshuggah, Refused, Cult Of Luna etc.). They play a mix of Cult Of Luna/Neurosis mixed with equal parts of Sigur Rs and Radiohead. They are one of the best bands in Sweden at the moment.
Khoma - Through the walls
Next we have something for the punks! Acursed is the best hard core/crust punk band in the world, period! It's a shame they are as unknown as they are and they are not super active either.
Acursed - Solitary Discipline
Next up is Burst. Just by telling you they are on Relapse should tell you this is some high quality shit!
I started to listen to them a couple of years ago since the bass player (Jesper Liverd) also played bass in Nasum for a couple of years. They are not a grindcore, but they do have some grinding parts, they also have some Neurosis influences. It's really good anyways.
Burst - Rain
Finally we have Mustasch (yep, that is moustache in Swedish). They play some groovy heavy rock 'n' roll, really good!
Mustasch - Dogwash
This is a nice mix of bands, there should be something for everyone in at least one of these four bands.
Enjoy!

I might be going to sweden for a few days in my euro tour! I've got a mate there who can't attend the same fests I'm going to so I'm likely to pay her a visit the weekend before Wacken. I'll fill you in with details as they're created
