Tom's of Maine was acquired by Colgate/Palmolive, a company that tests on animals. Lame. I sent them an email;
I have been using your products for years. Toothpaste, deodorant, mouthwash, etc. I regret to hear of your partnership with Colgate, who is a company that tests on animals. I originally bought your products because you did not test on animals, and it saddens me to know that I will have to find a new brand of products to use. I had assumed that you were opposed to this senseless torturing of animals, but if so, wonder how you could have aligned yourselves with a company that represents so much that I abhore. I fear that the almighty dollar had it's way with you and another privately owned business has fallen by the wayside, and given up their beliefs. Sad.
