Scrolling through the list of Blog topics, Buyer's Remorse caught my attention.
First some background. I've played electric guitar for about twelve years and during that time I have bought a lot of musical gear.
Mostly pedals. Pedals are like potato chips: you can never stop at just one. Distortion, overdrives, pitch shifter, tuner, phaser, reverb - I've bought them all.
A few years ago, I got it into my head to buy a loop pedal. The idea is you turn the pedal on and play a chord progression which the pedal loops so you can improvise a solo over it.
In my head I was thinking "I'll practice every day!"
Except. Not only am I not great at improvising, I don't even enjoy it.
So I ended up with a pedal I never use which is now sitting in a box somewhere.
So that's my terrifying true story of BUYER'S REMORSE.
