PACK 'N' PLAY Drag/Talent Show
PACK 'N' PLAY is a fundraiser for DCATS (DC Area Transmasculine Society), so come support them and have a great time!
DCATS is a peer-facilitated social and support group in the DC area for anyone on the trans-masculine spectrum. They are persons born or assigned female at birth, but feel that this is an inaccurate or incomplete description of who they are today.
The term "transmasculine" is core to DCATS' spirit of inclusiveness. They acknowledge, welcome, and celebrate the wide range of transgender identities that their members have. Their members include transmen, drag kings, FtMs, gender questioning, genderqueers, gender variant, intersexed folks, and bois.
They have monthly support group meetings on the 2nd Sunday of every month. They have an online yahoo chat group which provides a safe space to ask questions, share resources and get information and support. They also hold social events, much like this one, throughout the year.
Please pass along PACK 'N' PLAY's info to all your friends and gaybors to come out and support DCATS, yet another important piece of our community!
* Phase One is a lesbian bar, and usually has a "women or escorted men only" policy, but for this show they're graciously letting all people in. This may only last until mid-way through the show, so don't be late!
