I haven't been around much this week. I have spent some of almost every night at the hospital. My dad had a narrowing in his carotid artery. The docs operated on it and while they were doing so he had a heart attack. Somehow they didn't know about the heart attack until later though. Two days later they did an angiogram and found that one of the bypasses they did on his heart 13 years ago has some new heart disease on it. They gave him some options, all of which are not good. He has 3-4 months if they don't go in and fix it, but to go in and fix it the drugs they give him will kill his kidneys and he will be on dialysis for the rest of his life. which they guess at only 3-4 more years with how bad his heart has gotten anyway. Also if they operate there is a very high chance he will have a stroke or heart attack on the table and the doctors won't be able to save him...

Ever since we lost our son I can't stand hospitals. The hospital he is in isn't that good either, they can't This week I have spent more time there than I have since our daughter was born. I hope he gets to go home soon just so I don't have to go back into the hospital. Also I am worried enough about him that when he goes home I think I will go get his shotgun so he doesn't get any bad ideas.
