Hmmm...Sometimes life is funny.
As they say, when God closes a door, he opens a window.
In my case, I feel like a few windows have opened, and life is getting good.
After recalculating, it seems the prospect of going from renter to owner is finally in sight, and it looks like i'll be shopping for a condo. It means not going on vacation just yet, and not buying a new wordrobe, but I think its worth it. This would be a huge step for me, and since the market is crashing, I might be able to snatch something up for a little less if i hold out for a while. we'll see how far the market dips...
On the work front, things could not be better! I'm so happy at
barberella. I'm booked up weeks in advance, the clients are grat, the owners are amazing, and location couldn't be more convienent.
As far as the love life goes...well...Its unfortunet that people can't just be honest with one another, and take others feelings into consideration when dealing in matter of the heart...and the bedroom. But always the hopefully romantic, I tredge on with hope, and my silly little moto of "love like you've never been hurt"
Positive thinking is a powerful thing.
I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to my guns, and cutting ties with a person who clearly was no good for me. The person I used to be would have hung around and tortured myself for a lot longer. This is progress. progress is good. I feel that much closer to figuring it out.
Although its only been a coule days, I'm already refocusing my attention to the things I need and want to get done, and reonnecing with friends I've been out of touch with. I also spent some quality time in Chapters and grabbed myself a few good reads, and "instant immersion french deluxe 2.0" I've been meaning to do this forever, so i'm stoked to get started.
Yay me!!!
