Well - that last post was written a day after my horse riding lesson. I hadn't ridden all summer ( 2 months ) and it made me very, very sore! Today I'm going to ride again...... Not riding Xena yet, but she is improving daily. The vet came out to lunge her, and check her for lameness last week and there was none!! She isn't supposed to canter yet, but she can be ridden at a walk and a trot for about 20 minutes. The problem is - she doesn't know she isn't supposed to canter - or gallop, or buck or hop! So she has to be mildly sedated to keep her from getting too excited when she goes out. My trainer is riding her so we don't have any accidents. It will be scary when I finally do get back on her, because it has been such a long, long time since I have ridden her......But I am extremely happy that all this treatment seems to have worked - ( AND that the insurance has covered most of it ! )
I'm going to the Michigan Renaissance Faire this weekend. I look forward to this as it gives me a chance to wear some of my many corsets.
Also - my birthday is coming up -
