I had the most interesting experience over the weekend -
My friend Julie invited me to go trail riding/camping with one of her trail riding associations. I rode one of her horses, as mine is still recovering from her knee surgery. She has a 4 horse trailer/ motorhome so we got to sleep inside it instead of in an actual tent. I have known Julie for about 13 years now, so I am very aware of her Princess-like ways. Long story short - We had a tiff on the trail, and she got pissed at me and spurred her horse into a full out gallop - knowing full well that my horse who is abnormally bonded to hers - would follow suit! I lost both my stirrups and hung on with only my thighs - I was so mad, I almost left right then and there. I didn't want to be a quitter, and give her the pleasure of knowing she had some sort of victory over me, so I stayed - ( but fumed for a while.....) If you aren't a horse person, I realize this won't sound like much to you - but trust me - it was a nasty thing to do. Well - we went on with the weekend, and never did she apologize - but I knew she wouldn't. And I finally was able to stop seeing red when I looked at her - but I have NEVER been so happy to get home in my life! I was actually smiling in my sleep last night.
