Ok - I've been in a funk lately. Yesterday was the lowest point. I had tickets to a concert that I really wanted to see, and absolutely no one wanted to go with me. I exhausted all the possibilities and even the, " What was I thinking asking ***** ? possibility " - and no takers. Well naturally, I started to think it was a personal issue, and I sank even lower......... Despite my depression, I decided to bite the bullet and go to the show alone. I'm a big girl - I can do this -
I had no trouble driving there, and parking was a breeze. Once inside, I found a spot to stand where I could see the band from the side, and just above, the stage. As it turned out, the couple standing next to me turned out to be the nicest people! We chatted, and they held my spot when I went to get more wine. They were fans of the band, and had driven down from the upper peninsula! We had a lot of music in common. They were my age - surprise!! Their music tastes were ( almost ) as diverse as mine!! Wow! The band was absolutely awesome too! I could see the sweat dripping off their faces - I was that close .
All in all - a great night! One that I almost missed because of my silly ego........I'm feeling much better today - My faith in humanity is much restored. There are plenty of great people out there - you just need to get out and find them -
Oh - and the weather is improving too
