hey kiddos!! my computer screen decided to hit the shitter (like all things technological that i come to posess) which explains my recent mia-ness.
how are you babies??
well i'm at the library on a time limit so i'll just stick to a quick recap of the past week.
tuesday i caught a ride to virginia for one night to visit my bawfriend which was amaaazing. the next day i greyhounded back to the burgh and took my brother along. unfortunately our bus driver got lost. also unfortunately the greyhound station in pittsburgh was relocated from downtown to mckeesport because of the g20. therefore, because of the bus driver's lostness, we missed the last bus into town by literally seconds. it was about 1:20 at this time so we decided there was nothing left to do but get hammered. when people come to visit me, i will show them a good time, no matter what. i saw neon lights glowing from a back alley so we set up shop and pounded as many beers thanks to ron, the awesome old white bartender chugging budweiser, as possible before last call. my brother then informs me that he brought a bottle of moonshine. from there on out we got fairly sloshed off of moonshine talking to an ex-hippie with fabulous stories to tell named mark for hours and hours until the bus to town finally arrived at 3:45 a.m. at the end of our talk i looked at marks hat and saw that it said REX on the front.
coincidence? i think not!
made it back to my house in larryville around 6.
slept until 2.
went to walk to work and then decided that rather than work, we wanted to join the anarchist riot going on in lawrenceville.
fucking fabulous.
the next day we joined the permitted march from oakland to downtown. it was really great to see people from all over the world joined together. so its the act of walking and speaking, and many people criticized it as being pointless. but the only thing that is pointless is doing NOTHING rather than something. we have the freedom here to do things like this to stand up for ourselves and show that we don't like the way the government is handling things. people in other parts of the world would be killed for even thinking about doing something like marching and protesting for what they believe in. embrace your freedom for the freedom of others, thats what i think.
anyways time is getting short. i dont really mind not having the internet. it appeals to me less and less. and as long as i can still listen to music on my computer thats all that matters. a life without jams is no life at all.
everything in life is wonderful. work is great. pittsburgh is great. my friends are great. my boyfriend is great. my house is great. life is fucking great....
i really can't get over it.
hope things are fucking splendid with you my loves!! till we meet again....
