i'm coughing up my lungs. trying to soothe them by choking down this disgusting herbal tea my boss gave me called "throat coat". it tastes like vomit but i'm too broke to buy medicine so i will take what i can get.
this is my day off...
i'm sick and it is raining.
and i couldn't be happier about that, actually
being sick on a sunny day off, or healthy on a rainy day off....just aren't as amazing.
the rest of the week has been sunny and great and i've been heading back to that rock in the rapids to read and hang out before work and on my breaks every day. sooo good for the soul.
i just finished reading on the road the original scroll and dug it. one of the greatest books of all time in one long rambling un-edited paragraph. mmm it was delicious word candy.
to be honest, as big of a keroauc fan that i am, and as much as i love the book, i don't think i'd place it in my top three kerouac books. booyah cliche! i read on the road about four or five years ago and didn't really even remember that much about it. actually after finishing the scroll today i realize i never even finished it the first time. i remember being near the end as my personal neal cassady, brandon, and i attempted a wild move to the beach years ago via greyhound from pittsburgh. we were snorting lines of stackers off of my copy of the novel in the middle of the night to get a rise out of the other passengers...i havn't seen it since
anyway i had never read the portions on mexico towards the end and its amazing how kerouac's descriptions so perfectly match my own, both written and visually recorded in my mind.
oh, mexico...
fucking christ this tea is disgusting.
speaking of fucking christ, i picked up some random book about satan and hell called 'the devil's dominion' while feeding my bargain books section addiction one day awhile back, so i think i might pop that open next. nothing like the devil on a rainy day!
sunday morning i made my long lost specialty, resees pieces waffles, for breakfast. oh my how i had forgotten the peanut buttery syrupy chocolately glory of those babies!
apparently my bedroom is infested with spiders. i keep finding rather large skinny little bastards scurrying up the walls and its actually preventing me from sleeping soundly. i'm not entirely sure what i should do about this predicament...
i LOL'd at this:
i'm fucking cold and if someone had hot noms in this house my ass would be all up in that shit right now.
my roommates both go to bed ridiculously early and wake up ridiculously early so its kind of nice seeing as to how my schedule is the opposite. i feel like i live by myself. but not ALL the time...and that is the perfect combination for me
my hatred of wal-mart has increased even more because the copy of the key they made for me doesn't work. therefore i had to climb into my tiny ass window head first yesterday, my only driving motivation being my empty belly and the pint of karamel sutra ice cream i had waiting in the freezer...
even my ice cream is sexual!
well i'm going to go read more. maybe whip up some waffles. and try to get better for my travels to harrisonburg tomorrow for another fun-filled weekend....
i hope you are enjoying this quiet and drizzly afternoon. ciao baby
