Every once in a great while I manage to remind myself that it matters what you do when no one is looking.
SG has been pretty good to me. I found it almost three years ago when I was looking for internet porn that didn't leave me feeling like a jerk. SG did that for a long time.
I've always enjoyed reading yours as well. I keep meaning to write more on MySpace, but I never actually do it. Maybe I'll get into that habit more soon.
Man ... I miss the old bowling nights. There was a fun mix of characters there, kind of rotating in and out.
We were having dinner, you know, sitting, talking, I was cooking. And Devon, you know, she makes mead, and I hate mead, but she brings it over and I drink it because Im an alcoholic and I want to be polite. But this time she brought ale, and I like ale, so I drink it. And we were drinking it, and eating, and talking, and... Read More
Nerd update! Those Superhero Showdown figures aren't quite the dream toys I had envisioned. I picked up the Spider-Man/Thing two-pack, and while they look neat, they have a bad habit of, er, falling apart when you touch them. Spidey's arm literally fell off when I took him out of the package, and the Thing's legs come off every time I pick him up. They're just... Read More
Aw crap.
Let me see if I have the template backed up somewhere i may have saved the Html somewhere but if not, I got to find just that one temple and of course put the logo and counter on there again.
Crap.
In other news: These Superhero Showdown figures would have made a 10 year-old Rex a happy litle kid. They might not look like much in the pictures, but they're four inches (about GI Joe and Star Wars size) and super, fully posable--and they're of Spider-Man, the Thing, the Hulk, etc. They're what I always pretended my GI Joes were... Horoscope folks--does the newly discovered planet mess up any of that astrological stuff? I know the zodiac is based on constellations, but aren't the position of planets taken into acount, too?
What up?
DId you hear about the Russian (I think) astrologist sueing NASA for hitting a comet with that satellite they were talking about? SUpposedly messed up the cosmological make up of things!
I'm planning a trip to Chicago in September.
Um, can you help me out and give me some info? Since you live there and all...
I've found this hotel on the web, looks like it's nice and low price, without being all too ghetto... www.sheffieldhouse.com
It's right by Wrigley Field, is that a reasonably safe place to stay?
Or, Rex Phantom and Halloween Jack vs. the American West
It's been done before and I hope it will be done again, by explorers and adventurers braver and of keener eye than we. But we are not the sort of men who build our beliefs on the experiences of others. Therefore on August 11, 2005 we will set... Read More
We're still building it up, but Ultraloveninja, myself, and some other folks have started a comics groupblog at SequentialHeart. The idea is to write about comics, comment about comics, and talk about comics in a manner that gets away from the "I hate this about comics/this is what needs to be fixed in the industry" talk that dominates most comic book message boards.... Not a whole whole lot. I'm getting ready to go to Portland next week for a long weekend to see Joel graduate and spend some time with other friends. I'm also tying up loose ends for going back to school next semester (I'm actually doing it) at the university here. Surprisingly enough, it has nothing to do with English, instead I'm going backwards and getting an associates in the culinary arts. It's something that I've always secretly been interested in, but have just discovered I'm pretty talented when it comes to the food. It's also really cheap. Other than that, just passing time with cute boys and good friends. I'm enjoying being young for once.
It sounds like you're doing very well. I'm also impressed that your going to be teaching and stuff like that. My one true vice is watching The OC and Seth's character always reminds me of you.
I was flipping through an old journal this afternoon and came across a picture of you that had been in that disposable camera you had sent me. It made me smile.
So, instead of doing work, I'm going through my old albums and filling up my iPod. And you know what? I still like Jonathan Richman a whole lot. Particularly "Jonathan Goes Country."
