I like that piece! The insane amount of detail pays off. The more you do it the easier it gets, to the point where you are just scribbling without thought and suddenly you have this crazy piece that people can't conceive how you did it and you say "I just scribbled for a while."

Hm. I thought very similar thoughts when I went to fashion school and learned how to sew.
Years later, I realized I had been an arrogant idiot for ever letting them cross my mind. I use many techniques today, in my own way, that I hated and deemed worthless then.
